6 Estudios is a collection of six short studies for solo classical guitar, written for learners in their second or third year of lessons. The 24-page digital edition includes standard notation, tablature and notes on each study.

• Poco loco means “slightly crazy.” It’s a playful study with a wide dynamic range.
• The Burning Church is a sombre piece written while Notre-Dame in Paris was on fire.
• Meri is an arpeggio study written for two students, Melina and Erika. Play the upper voice with the right-hand fingers a, i and m.
• Sunrise is a slower piece that invites the player to explore dynamics.
• Zoi’s Cakewalk is a rhythmic, humorous dance.
• Moonbeam is an arpeggio study with a nostalgic melody.

About the Composer

Irina Kircher was born in 1966 and studied guitar in Stuttgart, London and Caracas. She has performed and recorded internationally. Her compositions and arrangements have been published by Chanterelle, Verlag Hubertus Nogatz, Produccion d’Oz and Schott, among others. She teaches guitar alongside her performing and composing work.
