What the service can include
- transcription from a clear audio or video source;
- identification of musical structure and instrumental parts;
- preparation of a readable working score;
- engraving and part preparation as a separately agreed next stage.
What to provide
Provide the best available recording, any sketches or chord information, the intended instrumentation and notes about sections that require particular attention.
Process
We assess the source and complexity, agree the transcription scope, prepare the notation in stages and return it for musical review before final engraving.
Boundary
The customer must have authority to supply the recording and commission the transcription. A transcription project does not transfer copyright or create publication rights.
